Tips
Best viewed with Firefox and Opera web browsers!
We have implemented the latest Video on the Web technology on this website, using the native OGG/Theora video support instead of the proprietary plugin Flash. Using Firefox or Opera will give you better Web browsing experience (no need to download a plugin) and better system performance (native support and optimized video compression). Plus OGG Theora is open. Since the other Web browsers don't support the evolution of the WEB, make the Revolution happen : switch now!

Miss Deaf SA goes to Miss Deaf International
Vicki Fourie will be representing South Africa at the Miss Deaf International pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event will take place on 23 July 2010 and promises to be a glamorous occasion.
Vicki was born in the Free State and her aim is to bridge communication gaps between Deaf, hard of hearing and hearing people. She is outspoken on issues relating to subtitles and interpreters, and believes that provision of these would assist in creating equal social and economic access for Deaf people in South Africa.
Vicki was crowned Miss Deaf South Africa in 2009 which qualified her to represent the country at the international pageant. She will be competing alongside pageant winners from many different countries and we, at Dtv, wish her all the best!
We will keep you posted on Vicki’s progress.
