Candice Morgan visits Edenvale to learn more about an innovative IT Training Project. The project is co-sponsored by Ericsson, the National Institute for the Deaf, the Deaf Empowerment Firm, and the National Centre for Persons with Disabilities. Upon completion, all participants will have an NQF Level 3 qualification, enabling them to enter into computer related employment fields.
In this week’s South African Sign Language lesson, Karabo talks to a young woman who was the victim of a bag snatch.
Candice Morgan meets Kgomotso Pooe, a successful young entrepreneur from Soweto, who is working to draw more tourists to the area. The business offers a variety of activities in Soweto, from paint-balling, through to tours of Soweto on the back of a quad bike. Kgomotso’s business has been so successful that he is now expanding into other cities around South Africa.
